Privacy

This describes what Memcade collects, why, and what we never do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect

• Your account identifier and the email or provider you signed in with.
• The prompts and game content you create.
• Photos you upload, and the cropped, metadata-stripped versions used inside games.
• Purchase and entitlement state.
• Basic product events, such as whether a shared game was opened or completed — never your prompt or photo.
• Reports, blocks and moderation records.

What we do not collect

• Your contacts or social graph.
• Precise location.
• An advertising identifier.
• Background access to your photo library — we only see the photos you pick.
• Microphone recordings.

Photos

Originals stay private to your account. When you publish a game, only the moderated derivative appears, with EXIF metadata removed. Anyone with the link can see those images, which is why we ask you to confirm you have permission before publishing. Unpublishing stops the link resolving immediately. Photos uploaded during an anonymous session are deleted after seven days unless you sign in and claim the draft first.

Browser storage

The website uses your browser’s local storage for one thing: if you open the page for making your own version of a game, we remember which game you came from so it is still there when you come back. It holds that game’s link and title, nothing else, and it clears itself after seven days. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.

AI generation

Your brief and photo labels are sent to our AI provider to produce your game’s content. We do not train shared models on your photos or your game content. We never store model reasoning.

Deleting your account

Account deletion is available in the app under You. It removes your drafts, published games and private photos, and stops your share links resolving. Records we are legally required to retain — purchase records, for example — are kept for the required period and nothing longer.
